Zenith commissioned the industrial designer
married couple of "Ray" and Charles Eames to create
this model's Cabinet.
All of these radios were released with a mustard
colored speaker cover. I have used a right angle
black and brown pattern that contrasts and
emphasizes the art deco curves the Eames meant
to show off on their design.
This radio was a COMPLETE overhaul from inside
and out. All chassis components have been tested
and replaced where the tolerance was incorrect.
Cabinet has been taken down to the pecan veneer
and given a matte poly finish. All you need to do is
clean with a little lemon oil once or twice a year.
The back of the radio is brand new and made to
spec by a company that specializes in vintage radio
replacement parts.
And as you see in the pictures the on/off  bulb behind
the red lens works as it should.
Also has 6 tubes for better reception and volume.

all the sound you need!
