    Description

    Up for auction this week is this simple but neat looking bakelite table radio from General Electric.  This is the model 102, from 1948.  Bakelite cabinet with beautiful swirl pattern has no cracks, chips, or scratches and displays nicely.  The chassis has been fully restored:  cleaned and lubricated; all tubes tested good and all capacitors have been replaced with their modern equivalents.  As a result this radio sounds great, loud and clear, across the AM broadcast band.  The radio weighs 8 pounds (unpacked).  It measures 12 inches long by 8 inches high by 7 inches deep.  Buyer pays shipping charges.  Good luck!
