For auction is a Vintage Guild ‘Spice Chest’ Tube Radio,Model 484, circa 1956?
This radio is working but may need help.
The knobs are missing.
I am auctioning this piece strictly AS-IS.
This radio is currently working but I am thinking it will need repair / restoration.
This piece has the kinds of dings and scuffs you would expect from a vintage piece but the case is in overall good shape.
The knobs are missing (pictured – this should be easy to correct), but the knobs seem to work as they should.
This piece can use a good light cleaning.
Approximate dimensions are 12 x 14 x 7inches.
This is a nice radio - I hope someone can appreciate it enough to fully restore it.
This would be a great project radio, or sadly a parts radio.
Either way, it is offered AS-IS.
I occasionally get asked if I will‘part-out’ or sell parts to a radio.
The short answer is ‘no’.
While I appreciate that you may just need that one part, this only leaves me with an even less functional radio and someone else will have to replace the part you now have.
