Staffordshire Blue Transferware Pearlware Basket w/ Tray Hall SHELTERED PEASANTS

Description

An antique English Staffordshire blue transferware reticulated/pierced chestnut basket with underplate with a fruit & floral border and a central depiction of a peasant family with sheep by R. Hall in their 'Sheltered Peasants' pattern.  The basket measures 11 1/2" handle to handle by 8" wide by 3 1/2" high.  The under tray measures 11 3/4" long handle to handle by 8 3/8" wide by 1 3/4" high.  In very good antique condition with no cracks, crazing, or repairs--there is one chip to one handle of the under plate as shown.  The pieces are unmarked.
