    Description

    This coffeepot or tall teapot is very rare. The transfer ware decoration with a yellow ground color is very hard to find and very desirable.
    Dates to the late 18th century. It has been in my collection for 40 years.
    I have been told that it is English 18th century Leeds but I always thought it was French.
    Note the spout design which I have seen on French 18th century silver.
    The black transfer decoration has a Chinese look.
    Dimensions: With the lid in place it is about 9 3/4 inches tall. From spout to handle (widest) it is 8 inches and 4 1/2 inches in diameter at the waist.
    Condition: I can find no significant flaws, save for a some small flea bites to the spout (pictured).
