Description

Finish is completely dried out and falling off.  I used a scraper and in about 1 minute removed the rest of the finish from the front panel where the controls are.  I wiped it down with mineral spirits so you can see the fabulous flame walnut veneer.  I also did the same with  a small area on the right front column, and you can see the nice veneer in the front pictures.
Cabinet need to be repaired and refinished.  Removing the rest of the finish is very easy with a scraper from Home Depot, maybe a couple of hours at most.
The grills on the sides are damaged and new ones would need to be cut out of plywood.  There is also minor dings, etc that should be repaired.
The veneer on the front top panel needs to be replaced as it is cracked.  I don't know why, but this is a very common problem on the Waverly Grande cabinets.
Reproduction grillcloth is readily available and inexpensive from Richmond Designs.
